The O/P did bounce out/back and received a new year entry stamp.. They're good until Aug 30th 2026.. (y) (y) (y)

If they need to travel out of the country they will have to buy a re-entry permit (single/multiple) to keep this new year entry stamp 'alive'.

the seasoning at EVERY immigration office in the country for banked money funds on retirement extensions is the same. The 800K needs to be in the account for 2 months before you apply for your extension

Some 'renegade' offices tell people it's 3 months BUT it most definitely is not.

I have never heard that was a reqiurement at C/W when getting a new extension after previously getting them in a different province, and don't believe they will require those documents,

BUT

it's probably a good idea to have them IF you moved provinces/offices, just in case 🙂 I wouldn't give them to the officer when you apply, but have them if you're asked about it.

Make sure you have a new TM30, have been doing 90 day reporting at C/W (if you have had to) and have all the required documentation showing you now stay in Bangkok (lease, owners thai i/d, house book etc)

Also make sure you have the new photos, (you two standing in front of your address numbers, you two sitting inside the house [two/three photos].

These are the requirements to get a year extension based on marriage to a thai (just ignore the 400K baht financial requirements as foreign females married to thai males are exempt from that). This is not office specific, but is just a general list that will get you 'in the ballpark' 🙂

You've got your wires crossed a bit

Any way you look at it you need to get the 90 day Non-O visa FIRST before you can do the year extension at the immigration office after it runs down.

You can't get a Non-O visa for a year from the thai consulate in vietnam, you get a 90 day Non-O visa from them (same as you'd get inside the country)

OR

You come in free stamp, visa exempt, get the 800K baht in a thai bank account in your name and then apply for the 90 day Non-O at the immigration office where you stay.

get the 90 day Non-O based on marriage to a thai and then when you're here get the one 60 day visit thai family extension at the immigration office where you live for 1900baht

There are no visa requirements for US passport holders (or 89 other nationalities)

You can show up here and get stamped in FREE for 60 days on the visa exempt entry program,

You will have to fill out a TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) <- which you can do from 3 days before your flight here until you're standing in the arrival hall (there are kiosks there)

totally depends on how completely you fill out the application. If you get all the documents required uploaded on the initial application they're pretty fast,

Whereas if they have to email you for more documents, etc it pushes the processing time

I'd follow the posted processing time on their website as a guide,

remember no need to apply just before you come here, because a Non-O visa is valid for 3 months from the date it's issued, <- meaning you have that long to enter thailand. So no problem to apply early. ..
