could you please list the requirements to apply for non-o in country ? Or link the post of someone who asked recently ?

Specifically about the financial requirements, does the applicant need 400k baht in bank, and does it have to be seasoned, and is it mandatory that the money come from abroad ?

Applying in Bangkok, in case that makes any difference.

Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a Non-O visa in Thailand, specifically based on marriage to a Thai national, the applicant must provide the necessary documentation, including proof of marriage. Regarding financial requirements, it is confirmed that the applicant needs to have 400,000 baht in a Thai bank account in their name during the application. Importantly, there is no stipulation requiring the funds to originate from abroad, nor is there a seasoning requirement for the initial 90-day Non-O application. Applicants are encouraged to check with local immigration offices for the most recent requirements, as these can vary.

Just to make sure we're clear, this is for a Non-O based on marriage to a Thai national.

As far as what the requirements are, you need to slog on out to Chaengwattana with your thai wife in tow and get the most recent hand out listing them. There are just too many offices with too many peculiarities as far as the requirements to have a one size fits all list.

There is no requirement that the funds for a 90 day Non-O application come from abroad. It needs to be IN a thai bank account in your name only on the date you apply for the Non-O visa.

Nor is there any seasoning requirement of the 400K baht on the initial 90 day Non-O application.

Dear Tod, can one use an affidavit from the embassy instead?

IF your government offers the affidavit, you can. I *KNOW* the USA does not issue those affidavits.
