friend of mine went to Vientiane for ED visa application.
The officer gave him this stamp as usual.
But the weird part was that the officer added few more lines above the stamp.
Is there anyone knows what this stands for and will he get any trouble when he go for an extension?
Thanks in advance.
Sorry for poor image.
It says "The applicant advised to apply for work permit
Must be presented to authority next time"
Sorry I deleted your post and re-posted it because it had personal information on the visa picture :/

TLDR : Answer Summary
A friend of Jung Q Choi received an ED visa stamp in Vientiane with a note indicating that a work permit must be applied for and presented in the future. Community members discussed the implications of this note and generally agreed that it should not cause issues during the visa extension process, despite initial concerns. They suggested confirming visa history and noted that previous visits are not an issue for Russian nationals.
Regardless of why the thai consulate put that sticker into the passport I believe that the holder of the ED visa will have no problem getting an extension at the immigration office when they apply for one in 3 months time. :)
Maybe he just put the wrong sticker on there. That's not a warning sticker, it's the one they apply to visas that need to have work permits associated with them to get extensions.
well right now i dont have his passport in my hands so no way to check. But i am sure he don't have ED or any other visa history. But it's possible that I miss few more border stamps with TR visa. Anyway seems like this will not cause any further problem. So case solved! Thanks and cheers!
Jung Q Choi Russians are not limited to two border runs a year, so if he only has less than 3 visits into Thailand I agree with you. Are you sure he did not have more Tourist or ED Visas, Extensions of Stay or Visa Exempts Entries in his passport?
Yes he is Russian and he went there with his other Russian friend at the same time but his friend's one was all clear. And also I've checked his passport already but there was not that many (less than 3 as i remember) Thai border stamps on it. Suspicious🤔🤔
