OP1 NO you can go on your own without your thai wife as long as she signs the documents that have her name on them

3 you can apply for a yearly extension on ANY of the 90 day entry stamps you get off that visa when you have 30 days or less left on them. You meet the proof of funds, supply the required documentation,
the application will go under consideration for 30 days then you go back and get the year extension inked into your passport.
