TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a visa extension in Thailand, specifically for a 60-day tourist visa, you'll need the following documents: a completed TM.7 application for extension, a recent passport-sized photo, and photocopies of your passport's data page, your current visa, your entry stamp, and your TM.6 departure card. Additionally, a fee of 1900 baht is required at most immigration offices.

As a rule to do a 30 day extension on either a 30 day visa exempt entry OR a 60 day tourist visa entry you need a filled out TM.7 application for extension, a passport sized photo, copies of the data page of your passport, your visa (if any) your entry stamp & your TM.6 departure card.

Those things and 1900baht will work at most immigration offices..

60 day tourist visa in Bangkok and want to extend. Going to Chiang Mai towards the end of 60 days. Where is easier to extend it? Bangkok or CM? Thanks

Both places let you do it when you have 45 days or less left on your current stamp and are equally busy. :/ You don't have to wait until your stamp almost runs out because they ADD the 30 day extension to your exiting stamp.
