TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend an OA non-immigrant multi-entry visa for an additional year after two years, you should visit the immigration office when you have 30 days or less left on your current entry stamp. At this office, you'll need to submit the necessary documentation and meet specific financial requirements, which can vary by location. It's advisable to obtain the list of requirements from your local immigration office beforehand and prepare during your first year if needed.

Get the requirements during your first year so you can use the second year to prepare for the financial requirements.

Or go back home and buy another one if you do not want to meet the financial requirements in Thailand

@Jim ****
that is my understanding. I have heard of people using them for years. My savings are earning good interest at home, certainly discourages me from leaving it in a Thai bank. I have been, and plan on, using the

bht month, but if that fails it will be a quick trip home for an A O visa.

Robert. Can you just repeat that every two years?

When you have 30 days or less left on your current entry stamp you go to the immigration office, turn in the appropriate documentation, meet the financial requirements and they will give you a yearly extension of stay.

Go to your specific immigration office BEFORE your current stamp runs down and get the hand out that lists the requirements. Each office is slightly different as far as what is required.
