Tan Jit Min Chen Zhiming
in relation to Non O , I have a Thai child and would like to obtain Non O from either Vientiane or Savannakhet. Would like to know if I need to show any bank statements ( min 200k ) to apply for the Non O at the respective Vientiane/Savannakhet ? Prior to covid , it was said to show bank statement at Vientiane of 200k balance to apply for the Non O.
Likewise , the multiple entry 1 year Non O visa is NOT applicable for my case right as I read itโs only for married Thai spouse.
Thank you in advance.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The query pertains to applying for a Non-O visa as a parent of a Thai child in Vientiane or Savannakhet. The original poster seeks clarification on whether a bank statement showing a minimum balance of 200,000 baht is necessary for the visa application, a requirement mentioned prior to the COVID pandemic. Comments indicate that neither Vientiane nor Savannakhet typically requires proof of funds for this specific visa type. Additionally, it is noted that Vientiane requires an appointment before entry, and there has been anecdotal evidence that applying in Savannakhet could lead to a longer-duration visa.
