# BANGKOK IMMIGRATION ONLY
People on ED visa extensions are now being asked for the receipt of having filed a TM.30 before they can get their next extension.
People who have the TM30 receipt get their extension like normal.
People who don't have it are given a 30 day "extension under consideration" stamp and told to file a TM.30 then come back with the receipt to get the rest of the 30 day extension
FWIW:, most students in private schools in Bangkok only get 60 day extensions based on education.
I made this post to share information only, which is why I am closing comments.
TLDR : Answer Summary
Individuals seeking an extension on their ED visa in Bangkok are now required to present a TM.30 receipt. Those without this receipt are issued a 30-day 'under consideration' stamp and must submit the TM.30 form before their full extension is granted. Typically, private school students can secure only 60-day extensions based on their educational status.
