TLDR : Answer Summary
The 24-hour check-in requirement, known as TM.30, applies to all foreigners staying in Thailand, regardless of their visa type (including visa-exempt and extensions). This regulation mandates that either the foreigner, their landlord, or the hotel they are staying at must file a TM.30 form.

It doesn't make a diference at all what type of visa, visa exempt or extension you have EVERY foreigner (or their land lord or the hotel they stay at) has to file a TM.30

This excellent article by

has everything we know about the TM.30 requirements. IF after reading thru it, you have more questions you need to go to your specific immigration office and ask them.
