I’m on a non imm O visa. If I left Thailand for 6 months with a re-entry permit would I still have to show proof of my monthly deposit while out of the country?

My visa got approved today!

Soft Power Activities - TSL School Chiang Mai

Royal Thai Embassy in Rome.

Here's how it went down.

We did two different applications and it worked the exact same, both me and my boyfriend.

Saturday, Dec 13th: we got the documents from TSL School Chiang Mai after a week from paying them and submitting all the documentation they required.

[members only]

Submitted the application through the evisa website. [members only]/

Sunday - nothing ofc.

Monday, Dec 15th: no movement.

Tuesday, Dec 16th: they requested a paid flight ticket leaving Italy.

I did not buy the ticket before they asked me just in case I got rejected, after they requested it, I went ahead and bought the ticket, sent it to them.

Wednesday, Dec 17th: status changed to "Pending Approval", a few hours later I received the approval email!

here's answers to some questions i had before submitting the applications:

I did not have 500.000 thai baht every single month in my bank account, but I did have consistent income and movements in my bank account, I only had the final balance of around 13,500 euros in my bank account a few days before submitting the application.

They ask for an account statement for the past 3 months.

My bank account is revolut, my statement was in euros.

I was in thailand up until 2 weeks ago and had 3 entries without a paid visa (the last one was almost rejected on Oct 29th), I was scared it was gonna raise eyebrows and maybe get the visa rejected, but it did not.

You do need to have a paid flight ticket leaving Italy. (they will always request it as additional documentation, I personally did not see an upload field anywhere for it).

They did not ask me for a scan of every single page of my passport (I read on here that some embassies do, Rome does not as of Dec 2025)

As proof of location, I uploaded my flight ticket arriving in Rome from Chiang Mai, but you can upload a lot of different documents.

If you guys have any other question feel free to ask!

Hi! When applying online. You’ll be asked about you day of arrival and adress of stay.. even the day of departure. I think many people come on a one way ticket. So how do I fill out these boxes?

DTV bank statement question...

I hear mixed opinions. How many months are required to have the 500k baht minimum balance. I have heard 3-6. I have also heard minimum of the 1 month of last atatement.

What is your experience and understanding?

Hello, I need your advice, I would like to inquire about the visa requirements for my upcoming trip to Thailand. I have a European citizen.

I previously stayed in Thailand from January 2025 to May 2025, and again from July 2025 to October 2025. I am now planning to return to Thailand in January to visit with my Thai wife.

Could you kindly advise whether I am eligible to travel to Thailand at any time under visa exemption, or if I am required to apply for a visa in advance since i stayed more than 230 days this year. Thank you for your time.

Hi guys,

I requested documents from Canberra, and since I have two jobs, I was provided with both contracts and a letter stating that I’m allowed to work remotely from anywhere.

However, the Thai Embassy asked for the following, and I’m a bit confused:

1) I already provided the company number in the letter, but they seem to be asking for something more official, such as a Companies House Certificate of Incorporation or a Companies House Company Profile.

Has anyone experienced this, or can you clarify what exactly they are expecting?

2) They also seem to want another letter confirming that I’m allowed to work remotely while staying in Thailand.

My previous letter included my salary and highlight work from anywhere remotely — for this new letter, is it necessary to include salary again, or is it enough to simply confirm that remote work from Thailand is permitted?

Any advice from those who have applied would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

My wife has the savings requirement to sponsor both of us, but no income for the past 6 months (she only just started a short remote contract job). I have income but no savings as we have been living off of my means. I can’t be added to her bank account because she’s American and I’m not and I don’t have residence there. Would the Thai embassy in Laos still consider us qualified for the DTV?
