ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS:

THE 45 day visa exempt entry program is OVER

You now get 30 days visa exempt or visa waiver like before

The 30 day Visa On Arrival program for the 17 countries that buy one for 2000baht when they show up here goes back to 15 days like it was before

Edit;; the reason these stamps show TM6 departure cards is because they were from LAND border entry and the TM6 arrival/departure cards was never stopped by land only by air..

TLDR : Answer Summary
The 45-day visa exempt entry program in Thailand has been discontinued, reverting to a 30-day entry, similar to previous regulations. The 30-day Visa On Arrival for 17 countries has been reduced to 15 days. It's important to note that 30-day extensions for visa exempt entries remain available for 52 countries at a fee of 1900 baht, while six specific countries (Hong Kong, Laos, Macao, Mongolia, Russia, and Vietnam) are ineligible for this extension. Additionally, the regulation allowing only two visa exempt entries via land per calendar year is still enforced.

Also the limit of TWO visa exempt entries by land in a calendar year (Jan 1st - Dec 31st) is still in effect.

Bummer. I have planned to stay for 65 days. Outside paying a fine for the overstay are there any further implications ?

i would advise not to go on overstay and take the 30 day extension for 1900baht and then take the 7 day extension denied get out of thailand in a week stamp for 1900baht more

OR

get a tourist visa from the thai consulate BEFORE you wing your way here and get stamped in for 60 days then take the 30 day extension for 1900baht

I want everyone to know that the 30 day extension available on visa exempt entries is still just like it was before.

For the 52 countries that get visa exempt entries you are allowed ONE 30 day extension per entry at the immigration office serving the area where you stay for 1900baht.

For the 6 countries (Hong Kong, Lao, Macao, Mongolia, Russia & Vietnam) that get visa waiver entries you CANNOT get a 30 day extension.
