I have been here 5 years on initial Non-OA visa and 1 year extensions, using monthly income transfers. I want to change to Non-O because of the stupid health insurance requirements. Can I keep using the monthly transfers to satisfy the income requirements or does it have to be the lump sum?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is looking to switch from a Non-OA visa to a Non-O visa, particularly to avoid health insurance requirements. They inquire whether they can continue to use monthly income transfers to meet the income criteria for the Non-O visa. Responses suggest it may be possible to exit Thailand and re-enter to apply for the Non-O visa, but they recommend confirming this option with immigration authorities to ensure the monthly income transfers will be accepted.

You SHOULD be able to bounce out of the country to get off the OA visa enter visa exempt and then apply for the initial 90 day non-O and after that the year extension using monthly income because immigrations can see you were on an OA visa..

BUT

Definitely check before you bounce out to get off your current OA extension to see for sure if they're going to let you use monthly income by transfer to get the Non-O and year extension.

just had someone in bangkok on OA extensions using monthly income who bounced and back, came in on a 30 day stamp and they DID let him get the initial 90 day Non-O visa and the year extension from the monthly income by international transfer method he had been using for several years on his OA visa/extensions
