TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK citizen can enter Thailand with a 90-day O-Visa and subsequently lodge THB 800,000 into a Thai bank account. After keeping the funds in the account for two months, they can apply for a one-year extension of stay.
they say they are coming in on Non-O visas so the 800K baht they will use for the yearly extension does not need to come from abroad. There is no proof of funds origin for yearly extensions, just for getting the Non-O visa issued inside the country (at some immigration offices ๐ like Bangkok)
