TLDR : Answer Summary
Ed Woodbridge, who holds a year-long multi-entry Non-O visa based on marriage, is seeking guidance on obtaining a yearly extension after using a 60-day family visit extension. Comments indicate that he can apply for the extension anytime within 45 days of his current stamp's expiration, provided he meets the financial requirements. Additionally, it's suggested that Ed apply early to avoid any potential issues.

Remember it's gonna be a MAD HOUSE out at BOTH immigration offices in bangkok at the end of this month because amnesty runs out.

IF your money is already seasoned the 2 months now I'd go this next week and apply.

Sure. Is there a "best day" to visit Cheangwhattana?

Right now it's quite slow out there, and I'd say go on a Tues, Wed, Thurs around 9 or so and you SHOULD be out by 10:30 at the latest.

Make sure you know the documents, the copies, the photos, the bank letters, etc to have so you're not making multiple trips out there.

There is no down side to going early, they ADD the year extension to your current expiration date.

I always tell people go a MINIMUM of 2 weeks early if you can because if you're missing a document or something isn't right you have time to correct it rather than going right when it's gonna run out and then being under the gun if you don't have all your ducks in a row

Would it be a bad idea to leave this to first week of April?

Expires 14 August. so first week of August OK or cutting it fine?

IF your original entry that you're on now was from a Non-O visa (a 90 day stamp) you would NOT need to get a new Non-O visa, even if you are on a 60 day visit thai family extension now.

You meet the financial requirements of 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply and you can apply for a yearly extension any time you have 45 days or less left on your current extension stamp...

Your application will go under consideration for 30 days, then you go back and get the year extension inked into your passport

Sorry I deleted your original post, messaged you about it too, you violated the rules with it and I accidentally let it up for a minute before catching it and deleting it
