TLDR : Answer Summary
To mail in your 90-day report in Thailand, ensure that your application is postmarked 14 days before it’s due. Necessary documents include: your 90-day report receipt, copies of your passport’s data page, extension, entry stamp, TM6 departure card, and a filled TM47 form. Enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope for the return receipt. Note that if you utilized the amnesty or missed the reporting deadline, you may need to visit the immigration office instead. Additionally, an alternative online reporting method is available if you are not late, but there is a risk of needing to visit immigration if the online application is rejected.

Disclaimer: I know how to google and use google maps:) Still, can you guys explain how one would normally get to this new temporary immigration office so as to avoid messing around?
Alex *********
Btw, can one get this 90 days report in the Immigration office, other than near Impact arena? Say, in Samut Prakan, which is way easier to get to.

@Alex ********
You may be able to get the form but you cannot do reporting unless you change your address to that area.

If you know where the Impact Challenger complex is at Muang Thong Thani, and the soccer stadium is across the street, it is right behind the soccer stadium.

@Kool ******
What is the closest open/workinig BTS or MRT station?

IMPACT arena access

Alex Devaney, I drive, so I am not sure anymore. It used to be from Chatuchak stations. There is no close BTS, or MRT. The bus system is the closest, but I have never used that. You can also take the river taxis to the Pak Pret pier, and take a taxi from their. That is the closest, other than the bus. Most just take a taxi, as that is the easiest if you do not drive.

I have been doing the mail in for the past 5 or 7 times with no hitch, Actually we mostly mailed it in closer than 14 days in prior and they would get back the same within 3 weeks of submission. This time, my report that was accepted on July 17th at Laksi has still not gotten a mail back response. I will wait another week, then am resigned to show up in person by the end of the month at this rate, as I don't know if they will do anything even if I call and get through to a person..

Not 100% sure about what you mean by "mailing in", but the easy way to do 90-day reporting is by doing it online here:

This is great to use electronic services as much as possible to save time. The problem is, if it failed then you must travel to immigration, not submit new application. I can’t spend half working day to do this, and mailing report in much cheaper, also not failed so far in several years...

Mail 90 days is the best, as IF online system reject application or someone get notified "please visit immigration office" then will need to visit immigration in person.

Every year I go to post office and buy A4 envelopes (5-6 pcs), A5 'return' envelopes and 10 baht stamps. Then fill addresses in envelopes, affix stamps to return envelopes, copy and sign passport, yellow book and forms, leave blank information which changes (like dates, departure cards). This is a small pile of papers and this is great if someone have copier nearby. But with all of this filling next 90 days takes just minutes then I drop mail at nearest post office

@Vladimir *******
, sounds a bit cumbersome to me. Online reporting takes no envelopes, no stamps, no photocopies, and takes 5 minutes, and usually, I get the approval in a few days. But up to you :-)

As IT person I see how this system work and it failed a lot of times for me. I prefer papers as this is not much work and I can do this one time in 3 months... Especially compared to previous year, I had just one report because I always travel each 3 months and "counter" reset every time...
Henrik ****
@Vladimir *******
, I am an IT person too. It has never failed me so far. But still up to you :-)

This can work, *IF* the OP isn't late in submitting the 90 day report, OR he didn't take the 90 day report amnesty. If he did, then he can't use the online system.

@Benjamin *****
, also, if they do not approve it online, you will have to pay the immigration office a visit. But very easy, when suitable and approved :-)

Here's the info for bangkok (so once you get back IN the system you can use the mail in method if you need to)

you need, 90 day report receipt, copies of the data page of your passport, your current extension, your most recent entry stamp, your TM6 departure card and a filled out TM47 - 90 day report form.

You enclose a self addressed stamped envelope in the packet and they mail your 90 day reporting receipt back to you. Keep in mind not every office allows mail in reporting

Here's the address:

ATTENTION 90 Day Reporting

Immigration Office Division 1

Chalermprakiat Government Complex

120 Moo 3 Chaengwattana Road Soi 7

Thungsonghong, Laksi Bangkok

Tod Daniels, one thing recommended when mailing in the packet of documents is that you send it registered mail, with a receipt of mailing, so you do have a receipt that you did mail it, in case things get lost. Immigration does accept this receipt if they did not receive the packet, and will wave the bt2000 late filing fine.

@Kool ******
I usually send 90 days form and documents copy by EMS - to get signed confirmation, and get it back in return envelope. Do not forget to stick 10 baht stamp to return envelope.
Kool *******
Vladimir Mukhin, yes, that is the best way.

Thanks! Just wondering why did they closed up this immigration office - Government Complex, where we used to come and file all this reports etc....

@Alex ********
they didn't close up Chaengwattana, It's still open for retirement, marriage, education, and business extensions along with re-entry permits

They just moved some of the services to Muang Thong Thani (and 90 day reporting is one of them)

@Alex ********
. Not closed, just got too busy, so some of the functions were moved out

You have to have the 90 day application post marked 14 days before your current report is due (which is why I said IF you took the amnesty and didn't report you can't file by mail or online :/)
Alex *********
Oh, i see now. So, looks like there is no adequate way around, except for going to Don Muang or where on earth this temporary immigration is located currently...:(

IF you took the amnesty (meaning you didn't file a 90 day report on time when it was due) you can't mail in the report now. You have to go get back on the program.
