ATTENTION MEMBERS:

This is for anyone applying for a NEW extension of stay..

Any extension issued between now and Oct 31 will be dated as effective from Nov 1.

NOTE: This is NOT for someone going back to get their actual extension stamp inked in from an under consideration stamp already in your passport.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Members are informed that any new extension of stay issued between now and October 31, 2020, will take effect from November 1, 2020. This notice specifically pertains to individuals applying for a new extension due to an expiring stamp between September 27 and October 31, and clarifies that it does not apply to those seeking to have an under-consideration stamp stamped. Questions raised in the comments include inquiries about the need for an embassy letter and the duration of the extension starting from November 1.

at this point some offices are handing out that form that has the reasons why you are requesting a 60 day extension and telling people to come back later this month BUT some are not and saying you need another embassy letter to get any extension.

Right now all we know, is that ANY extension you apply for with a stamp expiring between Sept 27 and Oct 31st will start on Nov 1st.

I thought I read immigration notice that an extension would be for 60 days rather than usual 30 days. Can't seem to find this article. I am on Long Stay and not a tourist.. Just want to stretch it a tad longer..

Oh my mistake.. I thought it was just general extension.. The type I am not sure... I do have an O-A, permitted to stay to end of this month. I do not want extension on the O-A ( 1 yr extension) as I do not have the requirements. So question is if I apply for an extension., 1990 baht.. Will get 30 or 60 days..

Is there any information about weather or not we need to have an embassy letter?

there is not, no one has applied for a new extension because most people who used the embassy letter on the last round of amnesty will be stamped until Nov 30, and everyone else is on amnesty until the 31st of Oct

I only got stamped until Oct. 26th on the last round, not until Nov. 30.

@Benjamin *****
yes I did. And I'd closed the loop on September 17th (MTT stamped me until Oct. 26th).

I don't get it, how about people that got an Oct. 26th stamp before the September 26th period?

Can I go back this week to get stamped for Nov. 30th?

Okay, people let's try to keep this ON TOPIC. This is ONLY about someone who has a stamp expiring from Sept 27th to Oct 31st and is applying for a NEW extension (not getting an under consideration stamp look closed). It says the new extension will be valid starting on Nov 1 (the day after this current amnesty expires)
