TLDR : Answer Summary
John A Faux inquired whether proof of residency is necessary for obtaining a year-long, multi-entry Non-O visa based on marriage at the HCMC Thai consulate, particularly as he has only been in Vietnam for three months. Responses clarified that no proof of residency is required when applying for this visa at any Thai consulate abroad, specifically mentioning that the consulates in Savannakhet and HCMC do not necessitate proof of funds either.

, you got the answers you were asking about the year-multi-O visa AND if you've been buying O-A visas from countries where you hold legal permanent residence or a passport from you don't need any questions answered about them either. Any more questions I'd say look at the consulate in the country you're wanting to get the visa to see the requirements.

ORIGINAL POSTER
There is no proof of residency when applying for a Non-O visa based on marriage at ANY Thai consulate in another country.
The only two thai consulates you can apply for a year-long, multi-entry Non-O based on marriage without showing proof of funds are the ones in Savannakhet Lao or HCMC Vietnam.

Right.. This is how I've done it since 2014.. But define "your country". I've a UK and USA passport and a permanent resident card from Mexico. I live in Vietnam. ๐๐ค๐ค
