I use Wise to transfer money into my Thai bank account, but they transfer money from a Thai bank account and not international. With the 40k a month method, this wouldn't work would it?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the use of Wise for transferring money to fulfill the 40,000 baht per month income requirement for visa extensions based on marriage in Thailand. Responses clarify that Wise transfers funds from a local Thai bank rather than from an international account, which does not meet the visa's requirements. For successful applications, it's necessary to transfer money monthly from an overseas account to qualify.
and on that note, we're done, Keep in mind this is a VISA group, not a how can I move my money cheaply to thailand and still meet the requirements for the visa/extension I want ๐
Good luck to the O/P

That is exactly how Wise works. They do not move money between countries. They make their profit by taking one currency from you and giving you funds from their Thai bank.

With Wise you can choose the reason for transfer. Choose retirement funds.
Wise and Bangkok Bank have a special arrangement where if you pick the right reason for your transfer in Wise, it will specifically code the way you need it to show for international transfer.
There are a couple of Facebook groups dedicated to Wise in Thailand, you should be able to find more information there.
You are correct, this wouldn't work ๐ฎ As in NO you can't use wise that shows domestic transfers for the monthly income method for an extension based on marriage ๐
If you come from a country whose embassy does not issue the affidavit of income from abroad notary letter & if you are not legally working inside thailand on a minimum salary of 40K baht a month, that means the only way you can use monthly income for a yearly extension based on marriage is to transfer from abroad into a thai bank account in your name only a minimum of 40K baht a month, each month, every month for the previous 12 months.
