TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about transitioning from a 60-day extension of stay (due to marriage) to a 1-year extension based on marriage after their 90-day Non-O visa entry stamp expired. Comments clarify that as long as the individual entered Thailand on a valid Non-O visa and received the 90-day stamp, they can apply for the yearly extension if they meet the financial requirements (maintaining 400,000 baht in a Thai bank account for two months prior to application) before their amnesty period ends.

for clarity's sake. Without money in the bank as of 2 months previous, one could not apply for the year extension, correct?

You already HAVE a Non-O visa; whether it's expired or not makes no difference as long as you entered the country on it when it was valid and got a 90 day stamp.

So you came in on a Non-O visa entry, were stamped in for 90 days, when that ran out you applied for a 60 day visit thai family extension and that ran out on June 24th and you went on to amnesty.

SO

With that being said you CAN indeed apply for a yearly extension of stay based on marriage to a thai by showing you have 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply for the year extension

You WOULD need to do this BEFORE amnesty runs out because that's the only thing that is tying you back to the original 90 day entry stamp (A 90 day Non-O entry stamp with a 60 day extension with amnesty).

Okay, your situation is NOT like the thread I ripped this from. That person had NO Non-O visa at all. they had entered on a 30 day visa exempt entry.
