I think we have to enter our return flight back to Thailand in the DTV application, is that correct? Here's my question... Since the expected processing time will vary and I haven't received an answer yet, I may need to change my flight to a different day. But does that matter, if my departure flight date I enter on the application ends up being past the approval date and I end up flying back on a later date?
Hi there, I’ve been a member of this group for a while and I have some questions regarding applying for a DTV.
- I’m an Irish and New Zealand dual citizen and I will be home in Ireland for a few weeks. I’m planning to apply then for the DTV. Ireland doesn’t have a Thai embassy so I will need to apply in London, but is it necessary that I be present in England when I apply?
- in terms of proving that I’m in Ireland, is an exit stamp and flight booking to Ireland sufficient? I will be staying in my parents house
- lastly, I work for an American company that is a poker coaching company. I do software development for them and get paid an hourly wage ($100/h). I will make clear to them that I am not gambling while I am in Thailand, only doing this software development. Is this likely to result in a failed application? In terms of payment I have my invoices that I sent to them for the last 9 months and I can prove the income into my account (they have paid me both through PayPal and through my bank account)
Just got my visa approved email via London embassy, 9 months with Muay Thai at Fitfac Ekkamai
Submitted 3 months of bank statements with over 11k GBP, & driving license for proof of current address
- Applied - 28th March morning
- Asked for a cropped version of my photo & flight ticket from airline directly to Thailand - 28th March 4pm
- Asked for boarding pass and exit stamp of last leaving Thailand - 31st March 4.45pm (went through E-gates so didn't have exit stamp and explained this on the pdf I submitted with boarding pass)
Hello everyone, just had a question and was wondering if anyone could advise please.
Wanting to apply from the embassy in London, re the bank statements. Is it six months worth of statements or just one recent statement dated within six months showing the required amount please?
Sorry if that’s a stupid question & thank you in advance for your help.
Those of you who applied under workcation for remote worker and had to include paystubs from your employer, on which part of the visa application did you upload those? Do they go in #4 with the bank statements? Or in #5 with the employment contract and employment verification letter?
Applied on February 11 and waited until March 22 just to get "Wrong place of passport issuance".
So, I lost $400 for indicating an authority and not my home country. They require your country name and not an authority.
Attempt no. 2
Applied on March 27, approved on April 5.
Work:
I'm a freelancer, so I created a long PDF with my portfolio, Terms of Service of one of the platforms, a letter from one of my customers allowing me to work remotely.

I uploaded my Turkish residence permit, my rental agreement, and Turktelekom bill to confirm my address in Turkey.
Finances:
I uploaded a fresh bank statement (no stamps, just downloaded it from the app) for theast 3 months.
No additional requests.
Pending approval on April 4.
Approved on April 5.
I wanted to make their work easy, so I prepared 3 PDFs with tables of content and I decided not to add excessive documents.
