Hi advice needed I am waiting for my money to season for my retirement extension my g/f has asked my to go to Laos with her and her friend if I go would this affect my application thanks.

I had been in and out of Thailand 4 times over the last 8 months (I am a genuine traveler not doing border runs), but due to all the "confusion and changes" I decided to get the 6 month multiple entry visa that allows upto 60+30 leave and 60+7. I am currently in Malaysia having a look around so it made sense. I applied on the 5th of December and paid the $145. I got 4 different e mails requesting a load of extra information which I gave. The last comunicación I had was 4 days ago and now nothing. I am a uk passport holder .

My first question is, has any one been in the same position and how long did you have to wait.

And the 2nd question.

On my travels I intend to go in and out of Thailand 3 more times over the next 4 months having a look around southeast asia.

I am aware of all the border closures and the current issues with the Thai neighbours

Is it worth me just getting a TDAC and try riding over with my motorbike at a land border. Current on a Malaysian bike. Will this affect my application for the multiple entry visa.

I also get Christmas is next week but that's why I want to go back to thailand to spend it with good friends from the UK

Hi everyone, I’d appreciate some advice from anyone who has gone through the DTV remote work process.

I applied for a DTV under the remote work category while staying in Vietnam. With my application, I already submitted my employment contract, employer approval letter, proof of company registration, bank statements showing the required balance, and six recent salary slips.

Today I received a request for additional documents, and I’m trying to clarify their expectations. They asked again for salary slips and bank statements, which were already provided, so I’m not sure if they want updated versions or a resubmission.

They also requested income tax documents for the last two years (2023–2024). In my case, income tax documents are issued only after the end of the tax year. I did not work during 2023 and 2024 and only started my current employment in April 2025, so I don’t have tax forms for those years.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Would a letter from the accountant of my current employer confirming my employment start date be sufficient, and what details should such a letter include?

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone recently got approved for DTV visa from the NewYork consulate and if yes, what was the processing time? For context, it’s been ~3+ weeks since I applied but it included a few holidays (Thanksgiving). Also, I’m a non-US citizen but on a valid visa for the past 8 year. Please do share your experiences. I’m eagerly awaiting a response as I’m traveling to Thailand in January.

So hypothetically if I go to Thailand end of January and stay 60/90 days , how long after that could I apply for a DTV. I am tempted to do it now but want to check out various towns and places first before applying for it incase I am unhappy there .Or should I take a punt on Hua Hin for example and take my chances there .

-I’m planning to apply for the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand.

I have a bank account, but I don’t have a large deposit in it because I usually use e-wallets / digital wallets for my payments.

However, I do have:

* Pay slips for the last 6 months

* A formal work contract showing my monthly income

* I work remotely as a digital nomad

My question is: Will this be sufficient to prove financial stability for the DTV, or is a large bank deposit mandatory?

Any advice or experiences from people who applied for DTV without a big bank balance would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, I need your advice, I would like to inquire about the visa requirements for my upcoming trip to Thailand. I have a European citizen.

I previously stayed in Thailand from January 2025 to May 2025, and again from July 2025 to October 2025. I am now planning to return to Thailand in January to visit with my Thai wife.

Could you kindly advise whether I am eligible to travel to Thailand at any time under visa exemption, or if I am required to apply for a visa in advance since i stayed more than 230 days this year. Thank you for your time.

My husband filed it on 4th Dec and his due date was 14th Dec. Up until now status is still show pending.

Thinking of waiting til Thursday if it doesnt approve he will have to go in.
