Hey I have a question, I was in Thailand about 6 months ago when you still only got 30 days on arrival. I then extended for 30 days, I'm back here now and got 60 days on arrival can I extend 30 days once more or is that not possible?

I am sure this has already been answered but I searched and can’t seem to find an answer.

As a U.S. citizen visiting Thailand, do we have to pay for a visa? To get the 60 days, we have to pay for a tourist visa? If so, where exactly do we pay for it? Can we get in on arrival? Or should we get an e visa?

Hi all..Really appreciate any advice on the following - I am 60, retired, financially well Canadian. Applied for the O-non imgrant retirement visa from Canada and after submitting all of the docs and paid so much fees (incl 2 health insurance) didn't get too far. The Embasy asked for more docs based on their forms which I didn't see or know when I went though the on-line application. Now I am in Europe and plan to fly to Thailand Oct 1. I understand the visa 2 + 1 months, but wish to stay longer. What would be the best way to achieve this while within Thailand? I am keeping all of the health coverage, criminal checks, etc. Would love to here from westerners who are gone through this and got any long-term stay visas. Thanks all.

I just applied at the embassy in Hanoi, and the woman at the counter said my bank statements might not be accepted

She said other peoples bank statements show lots of transactions. But because my money was in a savings account for ages - and because I only get statements for that account every six months - the bank statement only showed when there was a transaction... which only happened once in august

I had to write a quick letter explaining that it was an official bank statement. And that the lack of activity is because it's not a current account

Just wondering if anyone else has had something similar? and what they did about it?

I got on the phone to my bank (halifax, UK) and they basically said there's nothing else they can provide other than the bank statement itself

Annnnnd I obtained my visa **🎉

Location:

**Ankara, Turkiye

Process:

It was very easy, approved next day. There is no e-visa system, you need to apply to the Embassy by yourself. No queue, pretty quiet place. The clerk is calm and helpful.

**Type:

**Workcation (Im an employee of a company)

Docs:

All the regular documents

6 months payslip

Company docs (authorized signatures list, and all docs you can collect)

A letter from my company indicates I can work remotely

(All docs must be stamp by company and signature)

The bank statement should be 6 months old but I gave it for 2 months. They grumbled but still accepted. They said it was at the diplomat's discretion.

If citizens of other countries are going to apply here, I recommend that non-English documents be translated into English by a certified translator.

Good luck 🤞Now, I can mute the group notifications 😆

My girlfriend and I got our DTV visas in Phnom Penh, we are really happy. One of my employees, who comes from the Philippines, also got his visa in Manila. We are so happy!

Best regards

Has anyone received a work visa through the new “e-visa” process for Thailand?

It sounds as if you don’t need to *physically* go to a Royal Thai Consulate-General and everything comes via email, but I want to make sure that’s true.

I’m an American wondering if I can go to Thailand now, arrive with a “tourist visa” and change to the work visa after I’ve arrived.

Thanks!

Hi, i am planning a flight to BKK from Manchester UK with duration of 80 days. Intend to get visa exemption for 60 days then apply for the 30 day extension in Thailand. Does anyone know of airlines that will refuse boarding from Manchester? Thanks
