TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the possibility of applying for a 30-day extension after a 45-day visa exempt entry in Thailand using the eExtension website. Users clarify that the correct term is 'visa exempt entry' rather than 'visa on arrival.' They confirm that while it is possible to use the eExtension system, you still need to visit the immigration office to submit paperwork and pay a fee, which may be higher than the standard 1900 baht.
If you're singaporean and showed up with no visa and got stamped in for FREE you got in on the category Por 30 (āļ.30) <- which is a 30 day visa exempt entry even though it's 45 days now ðŪ
First off there is no 45 day visa on arrival ðŪ so if you're from Italy, showed up here and were stamped in free for 45 days that's a visa exempt entry NOT a visa on arrival, NOT a visa at all, just a free entry stamp.
In answer to your question, Yes, you can use the online eExtension process,
BUT
you still go to the immigration office, you still turn in your paperwork and you still queue up to get the extension stamp in.
It's also NOT a free service and you pay more than the 1900baht you pay for the extension to use the eService.
Just go to your immigration office and get the 30 day extension for 1900baht like every one does ð there's not really a lot of benefit using the eSystem at this time..
