TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion focuses on the current visa situation in Thailand, specifically regarding new amnesty announcements that allow most expats to forego extensions and 90-day reports until July 31st. Users clarify that long-term extension holders should still apply for their extensions as usual, highlighting the need for specific guidance based on individual visa categories.

For the second category: does that mean we're not allowed to do our extensions or just that we're not obliged to do them before july 31st?
Benjamin ******
People who are currently on long term extension of stays should continue getting these extensions as normal.

, sorry I deleted your post and tagged you in this one instead.

Unfortunately you are not the only person who is stuck outside the country with an extension that is expiring.

As you can see, MOST people are covered under the MIDDLE clause, where it says you don't need to get an extension AND you don't need to do 90 day reporting until July 31st (or when they tell you to start back up)..

Keep in mind it is the policy on this group to tell people on "long term extensions" (marriage, employment, education, retirement, volunteer, trailing spouse, raising kids, etc) that IF your extension is coming up to go apply for the new extension like normal..

It is also the policy on this group to tell people who do 90 day reporting to continue to do it like normal during this time.

With a thai elite visa the original one each stamp is 90days... my current stamp ends may 24. If i wait till july and do an extension is that better cost and time to go to immigration. I am just worried that other countries might not open up travel by the 31st of july so dont want to be in situation where i cant extend in july. I usually travel twice a month to philippines and they not even making any tourism plans yet

If I can't get an extension can I just leave before the 31st of July?

Gotcha, on long term visas do 90 reports as normal just to be safe.
