What is the current status of the affidavits of income from abroad for expats in Thailand?

ATTENTION MEMBERS:

Any further posts asking about the discontinuing of the affidavits of income from abroad notary letters by the UK, US and Australian consulates and what the new policy might be will be deleted.

AT THIS TIME there is NO NEW information and NO OFFICIAL policy change by the immigration office (meaning nothing has been put out in writing)

Keep in mind; no matter what an immigration officer in your office might tell you, they DON'T know what's gonna happen yet either.

As soon as an official policy change has been made I'm sure it will sweep the inter-web (or at least the thai sites patronized by foreigners on the inter-web)..
