ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS:

TDAC (THAILAND DIGITAL ARRIVAL CARD)

Starting May 1st anyone entering thailand is required to fill out the TDAC before the stamp in.

You can do it online with the website from 3 days before your arrival right down to your arrival here

IF you can't do it before you get here, there are kiosks set up before passport control to fill it out once you land

remember anyone arriving after 12:01am May 1st has to fill one out

here's the website

[members only]

Also for people who live here

you CAN select thailand as your Country of Residence, then it will give the +66 for your thai number and you can select the province you live in

TLDR : Answer Summary
Starting May 1st, all individuals entering Thailand must complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online within three days prior to their arrival or utilize kiosks available at airports upon landing. The TDAC is required even for residents returning, though questions regarding its specifics, such as the onward travel section for residents and application for domestic travelers, have arisen. Residents can select Thailand as their country of residence on the TDAC website. Discussions also mention the similarity of this system to those in other Southeast Asian countries, and users have shared their experiences with the digital form.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be tdac.in.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

There's an option for visa no. for the digital arrival card. Where do I find this? I've extended so many times, is it the hand written number on the stamp?
Tod *********
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Pete ******
don't bother filling out any information that doesn't have a red asterisks next to it <- the visa number isn't a required field
Oliver **********
What about the onward travel section for residents here?
Tod *********
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Oliver *********
what are you asking? There is no TDAC for domestic travel you do it before you stamp IN to the country
Oliver **********
@Tod ********
the TDAC has a section for departing flight. However I just reviewed it again and realized it is not a mandatory field, so non-issue.

@Oliver *********
ahh I see what you were asking, sorry I didn't understand first time around
Ken **********
This is what you get when they send the approval. There is a second pages with all your petsonal details on it.
Tony ********
Good to hear theres kiosks!
Bill *********
Thanks for posting this info. Very helpful.
Dale *****************
Are these kiosks available upon arrival in Chiang Mai??
Tod *********
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Dale ****************
no idea but I'd imagine they'll have them at all international airports

We'll find out May 1st how it all works 🙂
Matteo *******
So if I arrive May 6, I can do this from May 3 not before?

I asked about kiosks at land borders when I reentered Thailand by car the other day. The officer told me he has no idea but doesn't look like it. Most likely you'll need to use your laptop or smartphone to fill it out or borrow one. Best advice if traveling by land is to fill it out on your laptop while at your hotel the day you cross back to Thailand.
Graham ******
@Paul ******
At land borders there will be someone enterprising nearby with a laptop and a printer set up to cash in
Paul *******
@Graham *****
I doubt it, some borders are very small and don't have the space nor the personnel. Even at Aranyaprathet, they'd send you back to the Poipet side to print documents if you're re-entering there by car or motorcycle.
Tod *********
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Paul ******
there are "touts" on the cambodian side who ask you as of today IF you have a TDAC done. They'll do it for you while you wait, then you can stamp in
Paul *******
@Tod ********
Oh interesting. Maybe they do it for you on their phones. These helpers are also on the Thai side and yep, they're always Cambodian nationals. BTW Cambodian citizens need to fill out the form too, if they're using passports.
Graham ******
@Paul ******
that's what I mean, at the entrances not inside the Immigration areas
Paul *******
@Graham *****
Yeah my experience has been that the Thai side generally doesn't have any photocopy facilities or at least claims they don't. I was once sent back to the Cambodian side to take some additional photocopies of my car registration documents at the Aranyaprathet/Poipet border while re-entering Thailand and that's the biggest and most popular border crossing between the two countries.

The Cambodian side does, because travelers on e-visas often need to print out a copy of their e-visa for departure (Cambodian e-visas are only valid for arrivals at some border crossings, not all, but for exiting the country any international border can be used).

and the least user-friendly

I filled the new form in online this morning. It’s so easy. 👍

I tried to select Thailand as my. residence a few days ago. There was no option for it. Did I do something wrong?

..enter KINGDOM OF THAILAND..works.
Colin *********
@Curt *******
no, it wasn't an available option earlier, but the Thai government was going to add it for those foreigners living in Thailand. If you've already submitted a form, you can go to the website and use the "update" option and you should find it is available now, as
@Tod ********
mentioned at the end of the original post.
Jozef *********
@Colin ********
it had been added, but apparently Thailand is under "K" someone was saying in another post
Curt ********
@Jozef ********
I looked under K for Kindgom, did not see it.

@Curt *******
try THA.. it worked for me
Dca *****
This is just like in Cambodia, where they too have kiosks (tablets) to fill out "Digital Arrival Cards" at their arrival area in their airports, and TDAC is similar to Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, etc. so TDAC or " ตม.6 ออนไลน์ " should not be something that travelers entering Thailand should be overly worried about....

Hopefully, arrival queues at Thai Immigration do not go too crazy during May 2025 because of TDAC!
Jan ******************
@Dca ****
I guess these TDAC kiosks will communicate directly with the immigration then so no print or digital QR-code is needed?
Will ************
@Jan *****************
nope, you will go to the kiosk , log on to the internet, fill the form in and get a QR code via your email then proceed to immigration/passport control
Jan ******************
@Will ***********
Ok, then I guess it could be a bit murky anyway as internet connection and smart phones are a bit of the main issue here.
Brandon ************
@Jan *****************
internet connection no issues as the airport has free wifi. But if your phone battery is dead...
Mark ********
So what are the terminals shown in this picture? Do you have to scan these terminals with your phone your bar code or QR code, or whatever immigration sends you back after your have submitted your form…anybody know?
Wannikea *********
@Mark *******
the terminals are your last resort if you didn't file before arrival. You'd be sent to the terminal before you get in front of an immigration officer, fill it in, get your TDAC approval sent to your email, or possibly also scan a QR code, show the officer your approval QR code.
Paul ******
@Mark *******
there are iPad type devices as in the Philippines/Cambodia, preset to the TDAC online website.
Mark ********
@Paul *****
hi Paul…..how things change so quickly….I worked in both Manila and Phnom Penh pre- COVID days and at that time I can’t imagine either country having such technology at their airports…Thailand catching up with the rest of Asia it seems 😁…on a side note as a point of interest, I loved living/working in cambodia, very relaxed and friendly place
Tod *********
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Mark *******
you're asking questions BEFORE anyone has used the system yet..

Those are for people who weren't able to file a TDAC onlin with the website during the 3 days before they arrived here.

I think people will find out how it will work starting at 12:01AM on May 1st 😛
Mark ********
@Tod ********
Hey Tod, at least I asked an unasked question, not repeated the same question 100 times 🤣🤣….. I just thought they look like QR scanners but as you say they are for completing the online form…makes sense 👍🏻
Adam **********
Gents! Currently in Hong Kong, I arrive back in Bangkok 30th April.

I am under the impression I do not need to complete the online form. Could someone please clarify?
Robbie ********
@Adam *********
No mate starts 1st May oi oi 😉🤠 enjoy Hong Kong my old son 🙏🤠😉
Lewis ******
@Adam *********
As the post says; “remember anyone arriving after 12:01am May 1st has to fill one out”
Tod *********
ORIGINAL POSTER
you do not, 100% no TDAC needed, you are arriving BEFORE it is required
Dale *****
Just thinking same, last year my flight from UK was 10hrs late !
Adam **********
@Tod ********
let’s hope my flights not delayed 😀
Palawng *******************
Does this new requirement apply to domestic travelers or just international arrivals?
Susie *****************
@Palawng ******************
I would think only international.
Palawng *******************
@Susie ****************
Thk u my dearest friend 💕
Jeffrey *********
@Palawng ******************
International arrivals only - it's just the old paper TM-6 card, but raised from the dead in electronic form.
Paul *******
@Jeffrey ********
It's not raised from the dead. The paper form still exists but will be suspended from May 1 onwards.
Palawng *******************
@Jeffrey ********
thank you for your clarification kha 🙏🏼
Zelda *********************
What do you do if you are here already and want to extend your visa...is this required for that?
Graham ******
@Zelda ********************
It's a entry form, you've already entered before it was introduced
Tod *********
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Zelda ********************
you do nothing, this is only if you are ARRIVING to thailand from May 1st onward
Jeffrey *********
@Zelda ********************
No, this is an arrival form.
