TLDR : Answer Summary
Jake Reeves inquires about the possibility of obtaining a visa to be present for the birth of his child in Thailand during the lockdown. Respondents clarify that there is no special visa for this situation and suggest checking the availability of a Multi-Entry Tourist Visa (METV) later in the year.

Let's assume by August the borders AND the thai consulates will be open and you can travel here

I'd say the longest visa you could get would be a 6 month METV <- multi-entry tourist visa.

Go to the website of the thai consulate in your country and look at the requirements for that 6 month METV. That visa would give you almost 9 months of stay in thailand (in 60 day increments) :)

Okay, nope there's NO special visa for that reason at all.

AND let's keep in mind the borders are all closed right now anyway

PLUS remember AUGUST is light years away from now.

how about checking back in later to see if the situation changed border wise ?
