Warning about the Aranyaprathet - Poi Pet border with Cambodia
For a good while now this border crossing with Cambodia has been known to be tough to deal with. Now more and more people who are bouncing out/back in for a 30 day visa exempt entry are being denied (even though they have not exceeded the two 30 day visa exempt entries by land in a year)
AND
people with valid multi-entry visas who are bouncing to activate another entry on their current visa are being told NOT to bounce at that border again. Some are even getting written notes in their passport stating they should apply for an extension of stay instead.
I just wanted to let everyone know that there are FAR more user friendly borders to bounce out and back in at and if you can I'd give that border crossing a pass (unless you're going there with a border bounce company in a group).
A good choice for a border bounce from Bangkok is the Phu Nam Ron - Htee Kee border with Myanmar in Kanchanaburi.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Aranyaprathet - Poi Pet border crossing has become increasingly challenging for travelers seeking visa exemption entries to Thailand. Reports indicate that individuals using both the visa exemption and valid multi-entry visas are facing denial of re-entry or receiving advisories to apply for a visa extension. Experienced travelers recommend avoiding this crossing in favor of more user-friendly options, such as the Phu Nam Ron - Htee Kee border with Myanmar, particularly for those doing border runs.
I've have been to that border several times over 8 years. It was a pain in the ass but not overly difficult. However, an awful woman is in charge now. I have felt her wrath twice and she kept my
friend waiting 6 hours whilst he phoned around trying to get a Thai to act as his guarantor. Whilst he was waiting he saw 2 Canadians, an Australian and a fella from the UK denied entry. All he wanted was a 30 day visa exempt. First time he'd ever done it. Eventually a Thai turned up and signed a piece of paper and he was free to re-enter.
She once told me that HER border has different rules to the other borders. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.GO ELSEWHERE.
nope, as long as your tourist visa is valid you can bounce out and back in to activate another entry, I just wouldn't use that border crossing to bounce at is all/
