I keep seeing stuff say that it is for stranded tourists, what about a student visa? I was going to visa run and get a tourist visa before the lockdown and then my student visa expired and so on.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion focuses on options for individuals with expired student visas due to lockdown measures in Thailand. It mentions the ability to stay under amnesty if the ED visa or its extension expired after March 26. It also addresses the applicant's previous plan to transition to a tourist visa before the lockdown affected travel and visa runs.

If your ED extension ran out AFTER March 26, you went on amnesty, have been on amnesty every time they extended it and now can stay until Oct 31st.
