Hello, I am planning to relocate to Thailand with my partner and would like to obtain a five-year DTV based on soft skills. I intend to pursue online education while developing culinary skills. (I would likento find remote work after I graduate) My boyfriend plans to secure a teaching position after six months of exploring our desired location. Can we both enter on a soft DTV and subsequently find employment as teachers, or will he need to apply for a work visa following the expiration of a tourist or education visa?

I also see that maybe if I have a DTV he may be able to apply to one afterwards. I want to ensure we won't have to do so many runs if he can help it. I know the DTV is new butbif anyone has experience with this please comment. Any advice is welcome but please be kind 😇

Hello! Just arrived in BKK now. Passport stamped for E-Visa Non O ( stamped for 90 days), Here to accompany my child for studying. I believe I would have to convert my visa to non-immigrant O 45 days before the 90 days expires.

My concerns are how do I open a local bank account to show my financial requirements to the immigration or do I must wait until till I get approved for O Visa? Must I sign a lease for one year minimum contract for my place of stay? Can i rent it from Airbnb? ( less than one year contract) Thank you 🙏

My delima: I'm planing to move to Thailand first of the year, I'm getting different seneros on visa's from legal firms there🙈.

Some say I must do the 90 day non immigration O (evisa) before I come, then change to 1 year retirement visa after I'm there.

Others say I can come on the normal visa (60 day tourist visa) then once there I can convert to the non immigration O visa then convert to the 1 year retirement visa.

I'm from the US and want to visit a few places before I decide where I'll be living. Doing the first option limits the time I'll have to find the right place.

Any thoughts? Anyone know for sure?
