remember it's not the visa validity you need to care about (that is only the length of time you have to ENTER thailand on the visa) and when you do you get stamped in for 90 days.
once you entered the country that visa was used and it's the 90 day entry stamp you got when you stamped in that lets you stay here now (you have until the date that stamp runs out to apply for a year extension)
You need to cancel that appt at IT Square,That's the "free stamp" extension location in bangkok
That's NOT where you go to get extensions if you already have a valid 90 day Non-O visa
You want the main office at Chaengwattana
AND
You will wanna slog on out there, go to section L-1 and get the hand out in person from them about getting a year extension based on raising thai child
I take it you got this 90 day Non-O outside the country at a thai consulate?
So you legally work inside thailand on a salary of 40K a month? Because more and more offices will not let you use 40k baht of overseas income by international transfer as a means to meet the proof of funds
You'd need to have 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only (while it's not written into the rule they will want the funds seasoned 2 months)
If you were not married to the thai mother, you'd have to have legal parental rights granted via family court OR via the Amphur (if the child is old enough) in order to get a year extension based on raising thai family,
So the real questions are,
- Do you have legal parental rights granted (family court or Amphur)?
and
- Do you have 400k banked in a thai bank account in your name only for 2 months?
Totally depends on what you're rejected for.. .. ... If it's because you didn't meet the requirements, doesn't make any difference where you apply, unless you can meet the requirements you'll be rejected again.
Now if it was due to a data error entry (where you didn't check the data entered carefully and there was a mis-match of info) then you can apply again at the consulate that rejected it
Remember when you apply in Vietnam on the eVisa website, it specifically gives you a pop up telling you where you can be to use which consulate. <- meaning that's where you have to stay to use that particular consulate to apply
I think you're not understanding, and to be honest it doesn't matter in the least, look at your current stamp and you'll see the wording I mentioned on it (extension of stay permitted until) that is NOT a visa, it's exactly what it says, an extension, and you have it for a year.
You also have a valid re-entry permit (also good for as long as the extension was granted) so you can exit/re-enter the country with out losing the current extension you're on.
You STILL file a TDAC when you come into the country just like I said
I messaged you about this post, and had also messaged you several years ago and you never read those messages either 🙁
Best of luck with it,
FILE a TDAC before you come back
your 90 day report will be due 89 days from the date you stamp back into the country
Sorry people, I deleted some of the off topic comments.
This post is about getting the initial 90 day non-o Visa based on being over 50 (retirement) inside the country at the immigration office where they live.
While it is true, not every office does issue in country non-immigrant visas, most do.
You need to have the minimum required days that your application goes under review at that specific office left on your current stamp either a free entry stamp or a tourist visa entry stamp to apply for this Visa.
Most offices require 15 days or more left on the stamp some offices Chiang Mai require 15 business days or more which equals out to about 21 calendar days give or take.
You need those days on your current stamp because while your application is under review you are still here on your existing stamp.
