A follow up question kind sir. On month 11 say of your OA visa you exit the country and reenter I understand you have to have new insurance for the extension but as I qualified outside the country financially is there any way to re-qualify using external proof? If not I assume we just let out current OA visa expire at the end of year one and reapply from our home country as we did originally. All my cash is tied up in long-term investments paying me monthly so a lump sum deposit in Thailand would be problematic for yours truly. Can you provide clarity? Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
Kevin is inquiring about the options for re-qualifying for an OA visa extension while outside Thailand. He is particularly concerned about the need for proof of funds since his finances are committed to long-term investments. A community member clarifies that only proof of insurance is required for re-entry and suggests that Kevin could re-enter Thailand with a new insurance policy before his current visa expires.

You do not need to show proof of funds to enter the country on a valid O-A visa. Just proof of insurance,

SO you could indeed exit the country at the end of this year entry stamp (before the VISA validity runs out) and re-enter with a new years insurance policy and get stamped in for another year. (As long as it's done before the VISA itself expires)

However the chance of bouncing out and back in easily in the days of this covid shit show are slim to none, (at this time). No one knows what the future will bring so watch the news and see what's what when your year stamp is running out
