What should I do if I can't book an appointment for a tourist visa extension in Thailand?

ATTENTION BANGKOK MEMBERS:

Anyone who entered thailand on a tourist visa entry <- meaning you bought a tourist visa from a thai consulate before you came here and were stamped in for 60 days when you arrived.

PLEASE BE AWARE; the online appointment booking system for Muang Thong Thani Immigration office to get an extension is totally booked ALL of next week already.

I checked EVERY day next week using the "Extension by Tourist Visa (TR) Issue by Thai Embassy or Consulate (TR60 - online1)" choice; the one that people on tourist visa entries that went to amnesty would use for any extension BUT all of the appointment slots are "redded" out meaning they are booked up. :(

I don't know what to advise you to do really. Sorry..

Ryan *******

We spent 7 hours at a Chaengwathana on Friday getting our 30 day extension. Granted we also had a visa to transfer to a new passport, but it was a total mess. Good luck to all.

Did you need any letter from the embassy for it?

I just canceled mine on 24th at 15.50.

Go ahead maybe slot is free now for TR-60

Would going to neighbouring province be worth considering. If they are tourists shouldn't matter where they go, as long as they stay somewhere that did a TM30 for them the night before. I did an extension in Ayutthaya before, coming up from Bangkok the night before, very small office, very quick.

There were reports last week that people were being turned away, BUT I mean if you need the extension what are you going to do, you HAVE to go.
