TLDR : Answer Summary
The 60-day COVID-19 extension program in Thailand has been extended until May 29th. This extension is available for those with visas expiring before this date, allowing them to apply for an additional 60 days at immigration offices. Comments discuss various concerns about timing and eligibility related to the tourist visa (TR60) and the normal 30-day extension process.
! I know I'm not the only one who's been anxiously awaiting this news. See you in 60 days! π

Hello, i permited fo stay until 18. May, single entry t visa, can i make to this date covid extension or do i need firstly normal 30 days extension? Thanks
you need to ask that question at the immigration office where you apply for your extension. Some make you take the 30 day extension first but some will let you get the 60 day covid one straight away

you will find out when you go back to get the under consideration stamp closed I guess. :)

What this means is anyone who has a stamp running out between now and May 29th can go to the immigration office and apply for a 60 day covid extension.

Antonio Ciampitti it costs you 1,900 Thai baht to get the Covid extensions.
This is a good time to avoid the stress of COVID extensions and get your one year extension ...

Antonio May I ask...
Just when do you plan ...if ever...to get the one year extension based on marriage to Thai wife ?

Antonio Ciampitti you can go to your immigration office and see if they'll do it but you should be able to
Your TR60 (tourist visa) is a single entry visa. You have to get an extension of stay to stay longer. GENERALLY, most people would get a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism, however the Thai government is also selling a 60 day extension of stay based on COVID-19.
MOST immigration offices will want you to get a 30 day extension of stay based on tourist first.
