Attention ALL Members

We are posting the information from the meeting the CCSA had today about the change in visa exempt and visa on arrival entry

Effective Oct 1st 2022 until March 31st 2023 (6 months)

People who normally get in free on 30 day entries will instead get stamped in for 45 days.

AND

People from the 17 countries who normally bought a 15 day visa on arrival when they landed here for 2000baht will now get a 30 day visa on arrival

There will be an official announcement from the MFA about it but that's what it looks like it will be

TLDR : Answer Summary
Effective from October 1st, 2022 until March 31st, 2023, travelers who typically receive a 30-day visa exempt entry will now be granted a 45-day stamp upon entry. Additionally, travelers from 17 specific countries who usually purchase a 15-day visa on arrival for 2000 baht will now be eligible for a 30-day visa upon arrival. An official announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) is expected to confirm this information.

Don't you mean 'visa exempt' rather than 'free' to use your terminology? πŸ€”πŸ€”πŸ˜€πŸ˜€. Thanks for the good news update.

nope because people from 6 countries get in for free on a 30 day visa WAIVER and that's totally different than the people from 53 countries who get in on a 30 day visa exempt entry BUT they will get a 45 day stamp too come Oct 1st

That's why I said people who get in free for 30 days πŸ˜‰

The TAT proposed that the visa exempt entries could be extended once for 45 days as well BUT no one knows what the real wording will be as it seems they didn't buy into that part of the proposal.

WAIT for the official announcement

no news about how long extensions might be.
