TLDR : Answer Summary
Thomas Day is inquiring about his Non-O visa, which expires on October 30th. He no longer meets the financial requirements for this visa and seeks advice on whether he can do a border run or must leave the country. Several community members suggest options such as obtaining a 60-day extension based on marriage or considering a border run to obtain a 30-day visa, along with additional pathways for extensions if funds can be arranged.

If he had 400K baht (versus) 800K would be be able to go the marriage route vs retirement?

you could still get an 60day extension, based on marriage. You could do a border run and get 30days plus extension or you could go to Savannakhet (if married) and get the multiple Non O for a year .

You could get a 60 day visit thai family extension from the immigration office for 1900baht. It doesn't require proof of funds and would give you 60 days to get the funds arranged. THEN if you had the funds in the bank for 2 months before you apply for it you could get a yearly extension of stay from the immigration office.

thanks that is a big help

Are you on an extension of stay that you got from the immigration office for 1900baht OR are you on a VISA that you got from a thai consulate in another country.

mentioned that you should make a new post about your question because it wasn't related at ALL to the topic you posted it in.

I deleted your question on that thread and re-posted it here.
