Hi y’all I’m new to the group and I was wondering what the rules were regarding the 15k needed to be approved for the Digital Nomad Visa. I’m considering borrowing half of this amount to get the visa and then paying the half back after - would this work or will I need to show proof of 15k in my account for the entirety of my stay there? Thanks appreciate any advice!

Hey guys I am currently applying for a DTV visa. For the proof of free lancer status document

Will an engagement letter between the companies I offer my services to and also invoices up 4 months will be enough to prove free lancer status ?

Cheers

Hi All, possible schoolboy error on my part, but my 60-day visa exempt stamp finishes today. Today is a public holiday so Immigration is closed. Will I be able to get a 30-day extension by going to Immigration tomorrow?

When showing the required 500,000 THB as part of the financial proof, does the bank statement need to be dated on the exact day of submitting the application, or is it acceptable if the statement is from a few days earlier?

Just want to make sure I get the timing right—any advice would be appreciated!

Good day dear fellows,

Just to clarify one situation to assess my situation if need dtv or not yet..

Scenario:

2-)27 April entry, 01 june exit.

3-) 15 June entry, 10 July exit.

Each entry probably one or two month visa exemption stamp will be put on passport however i will not use all days assigned to me. I will stay as a tourist but time to time need do dubai or europe for business.

Well I just signed up for this group and a lot of things that I'm reading is a bunch of angry people that like to call people names I thought this was a site to help people out not to tell people how stupid they are and to file claims against them with the Thai government and all kinds of stuff is this site just about drama or is it about helping people getting information and giving information.

Small report: Just passed through Nong Khai Immigration (approx 19.00, taking the Vientiane - Nong Khai bus). I've lived in Thailand before, but this was my first visa-exempt border bounce (initial arrival in January, extended in March). I spent 1 week in Luang Prabang before coming back. Upon arriving at the checkpoint, the first policeman sent me to Room 15 to speak to the supervisor. He asked me what I was planning to do and to see a ticket out (which I had thankfully bought in advance), but did not ask to see ฿20,000 or any confirmed hotel bookings. I hope this helps someone.

Edit to add: I had heard anecdotally that flights to neighboring countries are looked at with some suspicion by the border guards, so I booked to South Korea. These are more expensive, but under Korean law all airlines must offer a rather generous refund policy. It might be worth considering this for your own situation as well.
