TLDR : Answer Summary
The 60-day COVID extension program in Thailand has been extended until May 29th. This extension can be applied for by most tourists, excluding those on the Special Tourist Visa. If granted, the extension will generally allow stays until the end of July. The cost for each extension is approximately 1900 baht. There are also discussions addressing whether individuals need a regular extension prior to applying for the COVID extension, especially for those who entered on a visa-exempt basis.

you can GO to your immigration office and ASK them to see if you can go straight to a covid extension OR if you have to take your regular 30 day extension first.

I have applied for courtship many times, but the Immigration Bureau treated me rudely and tell me to go back to my country.😂Really crazy

Who is ever going to believe them when they are serious ?

Money grab by making people panic during a pandemic... Cool!!

So that’s until 29th of July then? 🙂

Was this decided in the afternoon. The immigration in the morning didn’t know about an extension.

Was a stressful morning!

no it's until the 29th of MAY, read what I posted.

The last day you can apply for a 60 day covid extension is the 29 of May now. <- meaning if that was the day your current stamp was expiring you'd get stamped in until the end of july

@Tod ********
yes that’s how I understood it.

@Mark *******
yes, with the Covid extension they are referring to. May 29th will be last day to apply for extension and will extend you until July 29th. Per this post. I haven't not actually confirmed it but 99.9% sure its accurate.

It was so obviously going to happen. But many people fueled panic over nothing. I feel sorry for all those who went to immigration office "the last" day. Crazy.
Bryce ********
Is this available if you enter on visa-exempt??

Oliver ********
@Jay *****

Harry ****
Do you gotta get a regular extension before getting the covid extension?
Corey *******
@Harrison ******
I went for the tourist extension and got 30 days. I went back the next day and they gave me the tourist extension for an extra 60 days after my 30 day extension ends. I just have to go back to the same office in May to get the rest of the 60 days (under consideration)

If you're a new arrival to the country and haven;t gotten your 'regular' extension yet
@Harr****
that is totally between you and the immigration office you deal with.

All you can do is ask them
