What other vehicle besides cash would be excepted at Bangkok Bank? US cashier's check or? I already have an account there and I know about Wise. And what's the maximum I can bring in without declaring is it 10 or 20K US. Thanks

Does anyone know about 90 day reporting, many have said you still need to do 90 day reporting, but I have not seen anything official at all from all the official DTV information I have read about 90 day reporting, I know a lot of people are "guessing" on this forum, but does anyone really know what the rules are on 90 day reporting? Is it possible to open a Thai bank account with a DTV Visa?

Looking for clarification on issue we have

Just applied for DTV e-visa in UK, paid fee and just waiting for approval which should literally be anytime now

However, we’ve just had an issue that is going to delay our arrival in Thailand by 3-4 months

Does anyone know if there is a set period that you have to enter Thailand in once DTV visa has been issued

Done internet research and one person said that there is no time limit on entering, but obviously the visa will only be valid for 5 years from date it was issued

Can’t find anything else regarding this

Any sensible answers welcome

So I got VISA today in Hanoi, Vietnam. They said they will reply me by email but I didn’t get any so I went to Embassy and checked again then it’s already approved!

This is the documents that I gave them: I applied as a “Business Development Consultant”

(1) Bank Statement for 6 months

(2) Visa Application form (stick with one passport photo)

(3) Employee Contract

(4) Permission to work remotely letter by MD

(5) My Portfolio

(6) Cover letter

(7) Document indicates current location (visa stamp of Vietnam immigration, hotel booking in Vietnam is okay)

My visa process was very smooth and they didn’t even asked me a question since I prepared all the documents perfectly. Working 1-3 days

I got approved my DTV as a remote worker from Stockholm after 9 days

I originally uploaded the requested documentation:

* Proof of current address

* Bank account showing current balance of > 500,000 baht and 3 months going back (but only > 500,000 in the current month)

* Employment contract - I appended the remote work permission to the employment contract pdf

They returned and asked for pay slip as well as "Employment Certificate". After some confusion about what this certificate was exactly, I chose simply to re-upload the remote work permission and that was accepted

Finally, they asked for an explanation of how my work could be carried out online and I wrote about 10 lines explaining how my work is carried out only online

I hope this is helpful

So could someone clarify about the fee. Is that fee a one off payment or is that every 180 days?

Is it hard to stay on a sailboat in Thailand? Would it make things complicated because you don’t have a physical address?

Hi, the information I have seen so far is that Malaysia is more strict and cannot even use electronic statements. It must be a physical seal. I heard that Cambodia will wait for more than a week? Would the embassy in Hanoi be better? Six months of statements are necessary, right? Proof of deposit is not enough. Thanks

Hi everyone

Can anyone tell me how the stay extension works and what the fee is?

I understand the first stamp is 6 months, which can be extended by 6 months while staying in Thailand. Is it the case that you then have to leave the country to get a new 6-month stamp in your passport? And is this also extendable once every year?

And does anyone know what the fees are for the extension?

Thanks very much
