TLDR : Answer Summary
Kevin Howard inquired about the implications of visiting the Immigration Office on July 29, the day after the King's birthday when the office is closed. Community members advised against waiting until the last day due to potential crowds, suggesting earlier visits. They clarified that if a visa expires on a holiday and one visits the next day, there is typically no overstay fee, although an overstay stamp indicating the fine was waived may be issued.

The immigration offices will be packed with folks like you waiting til the last day to get the COVID extension. Go the week before. Trying to squeeze a few days is foolish. And depending on what is in your passport now.....the extension may be added to it.

I don't know why you'd wait until the last day like that but be that as it may. IF your stamp runs out on a day the immigration office is closed (weekends or holidays) and you go the very next day they're open you will not be charged for overstay BUT you will get an overstay stamp in your passport saying "fine waived to due holiday" .
