If I get a teaching job there and a work visa will that qualify me for a Thai bank account?

RETIREMENT VISA! Can the monthly income requirement be coming into a foreign bank account? Or does it need to be a Thai bank account? Also, can I get the visa when already in Thailand? Thank you 😊
