Hi guys. I'm leaving for Thailand in July with the non immigrant O type visa. I'm minded to apply now but was wondering if my 90 days starts from issuance or arrival. Anyone know?

Marriage visa

I got married yesterday and currently I’m on a METV valid until 20 May. I already have a Thai bank account with 400,000 THB deposited for about a month.

What are my options to obtain the initial 90-day Non-Immigrant O visa based on marriage?

Can I convert my current visa to the 90-day Non-O while staying in Thailand, or do I need to leave the country and apply from a Thai embassy/consulate?

If conversion inside Thailand is possible, are there any specific requirements or timing issues I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance for any advice 🙏

A newbie here..I’d like clarification on “O” retirement visa, please.

I have SS verification letter showing above the required monthly income.

I’d rather not put 800,000 baht ($25k US) into a Thai bank. Website shows I need ONE or another but I’ve seen contrary comments here.

I’ve done research and starting to read all posts…can’t find a definitive answer 🤷🏻‍♀️ Anyone know the real skinny??? Thanks much!!

Open accounts Kasikorn

Deposit money

Get residents certificate

Hello everyone, planning to apply DTV soon and I want to ask if I should use my active Thai bank account (use it for daily) or an inactive one that i used to receive salary from previous job?

I want to use an active one but I'm worried it might get reported since dtv visa dont allow ownership of local bank acc thx

I am planning to come to Thailand on a 60 day visa and to later extend it to 90 days.

This is because on arrival I plan to sign up to a condo, then open a bank account with k bank, deposit 800000 tbh then apply for a non O visa, with the hope I can extend for one year, as a "retirement visa"

Does that sound sensible and realistic?

Is there anyone who can open a bank account for me with an ED visa?

I am looking for someone with connections in the bank to open a bank account with, or someone who is a bank employee. I will pay the fee.
