ATTENTION BANGKOK MEMBERS ONLY

Anyone who entered the country on a 60 day tourist visa OR a Special tourist visa (no matter when that was) now uses Chaengwattana for your extensions starting on Monday April 5th.

This means IF you used Counter J at MTT to get an extension and have an under consideration stamp you need to return to 'close the loop' on you go to Chaengwattana NOT Muang Thong Thani.

This also has NOTHING to do with anyone else or any other section. Only people who have a tourist VISA or a Special Tourist visa and/or extensions from those are affected.

Thanx Ellie Takei for posting it (y)

TLDR : Answer Summary
Effective April 5th, 2021, individuals in Bangkok holding a 60-day tourist visa or a Special Tourist visa must now go to Chaengwattana for extensions. This change applies to anyone seeking an extension or having an 'under consideration' stamp from Counter J at MTT. Appointments and procedures may vary, and affected individuals are encouraged to check the latest updates directly.

Asking for my boyfriend who entered with a 60 day tourist visa and since is on the special Covid extension (usually done at MTT).

Do people still need to make an appointment for CW? Or is it a queue-ticket thing that they give you once you arrive?

@Vanida *****
you use counter J (that is now back at Chaengwattana) you don't have to make an online appointment if you don't want to. Just walk up and get a queue number. That section is not busy at all

Was there today after they called me 2 days prior. Nice office... Even let me in after 1530pm... Just curious why they move around so much... Renovation?

Thanks for posting this it applies to me I have an under consideration stamp and must return on April 8. Funny they didn’t tell us at the time. Does anyone know if you have to make an online appointment for these or do you just show up on the day?

I have to go tomorrow they just called me to advise of the change in location. Nice touch. They may have called once before but I may have ignored it I’ve been getting a few “Wrong Number” calls.

I arrived at about 9:15AM. Maybe 8 people in front of me for check in and Covid screening. On to the information desk to find out where to go next. Was directed to a booth to get a queue number got J29. Walked around to counter J they were serving J28 waited about two minutes then I was called. He asked me to wait sent my passport in the back somewhere. The whole process couldn’t have taken more than

minutes from the time the taxi dropped me at the front of the building.

Come on people READ the image BEFORE you post.

This is ONLY for people on a 60 day tourist visa entry OR a 90 day Special Tourist Visa entry OR a covid extension from one of those entries.

IF you did not enter the country on a 60 day tourist visa OR a 90 day Special Tourist Visa, this notice does NOT apply to you. :(
