Will I need to restart the process for my visa if my pension drops below the retirement visa requirement?

I was on the marriage visa 40k a month but they said my pension was enough to go on 65k a month retirement.

At the time my pension was worth 78k per month but is now worth 61,500 and will probably have to go back on the marriage one.

Will I have to go through the process all over again as it was their idea?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Russell Graves discusses a potential issue regarding his visa status in Thailand. He is currently on a retirement visa that requires a monthly income of 65k baht, based on his pension amount, which has now decreased to 61,500 baht. He is uncertain if he will need to revert to a marriage visa due to this change in income and whether this will require him to repeat the application process. Community comments provide insights on maintaining financial requirements for both retirement and marriage visas, and suggest Russell check with the immigration office for specific requirements.

12 x 60,000 = 720,000 so technically
@Russell *******
you only need another 80,000 in the bank to bring you up to the required 800,000 to stay on the Reirement Visa. Am I right

I moved this to a topic all it's own because your questions and comments had not that much to do with the threads you posted them in.

Russell posted: When I go for my 90 day check in,I will inquire as to what they actually want as it seems to vary from district to district,and last time they didn’t know.

Our Immigration office are quite “Jai Dee” and don’t mind a bit of flexibility.

Jai Dee or not, IF you are from one of the 4 countries whose consulates stopped issuing affidavit of income notary letters (USA, UK, Australia or Denmark) and you want to use monthly income as your means of meeting the proof of funds, you have to transfer in from overseas the minimum amount per month required for the extension you're wanting (65K baht a month for retirement or 40K baht a month for marriage).

Good Luck, (y) Certainly check with your immigration office before you need to apply for your extension so you can have an idea of what's what

My answer to the question was:

When your extension comes due you would just change the reason from "retirement" to one based on "marriage to a thai" and you'd show at least 40K baht a month transferred into the country in a thai bank account in your name only for 12 months prior to you applying for your yearly extension.
