TLDR : Answer Summary
The '60' on your Thai visa stamp usually indicates a 60-day visa exemption or the length of stay permitted under that visa. This generally means you can stay in Thailand for up to 60 days without a visa or as part of a tourist visa, with the option to extend for an additional 30 days.

I see a lot of asshole answers and several commented that the poster should do their own research. But, then what is the point of having a group called “Thailand Visa Advice?” It would be easier if a single authentic person answered the question and then all you clever bores went back to pounding your puds. It is sad when these groups turn into just a way to troll unsuspecting newbies.

“ผ.60” refers to “แบบฟอร์ม ผ.60” (Form Phor.60), a Thai Immigration document typically used for 60-day tourist visa entries, which can be extended for another 30 days.

“ผ.” stands for “ฝ่ายตรวจคนเข้าเมือง” (Immigration Division) ☺️

this is a wrong explanation. The stamp ผ.60 means that you entered visa-exempt. If you had entered on a 60-days Tourist Visa, the stamp would say "TR" or sometimes "TR60"

Interesting on my visa exempt stamp on arriving into Bangkok. Stamped in on the 7th Feb, with the other stamp saying 7th April.

With Feb having 28 days they got it wrong by a day!!
Like
Reply
Brian **********
@John ********
No, they didn’t. 7th February was day 1 of the 60.

You were stamped in for 22 days of February, 31 days of March; and 7 days of April. Total 60 days.

People need to be careful, when calculating when they need to book their return, or onward, flight, if they intend to stay the full 60 days.

It looks like a "ผ.60 visa".

"ผ" is the interesting part.

Did you used to have a 1 year visa?

If I am not mistaken. You can apply back for that with your ผ.60 stamp.

If yes. You better hurry. You will likely be getting 90 days visa before 1 year visa. You need to do lots of paperwork. You may need to travel.

Good luck!

there’s nothing wrong with you asking this question. I know people are joking here (and I do happen to think the joke has a lot of wit), but the fact of the matter is that occasionally, countries add last minute little weird rules to their visa entry requirements. Sometimes, they put a small code within the immigration stamp to signify that as of that day’s entry stamp, you are subject to those new rules. The immigration agents don’t necessarily explain it to the tourist. Then the countries immigration officers hold you accountable. If you don’t understand every mark within an immigration stamp, you should ask specifically what everything means. You were right to ask this question. Ignorance is not a defense with immigration violations.

Either they made a mistake in October last year or this year in April, or you did get 60 days both times. The visa exempt permission of stay was already 60 days in October last year.

What's your nationality? If you're from the Czech Republic, you should have gotten 60 days in October last year too.
