BANGKOK MEMBERS ONLY...

Okay people listen up. This is how it works for the unable to travel due to covid extensions.

IF you entered the country on a 30 day visa exempt, a 60 day tourist visa you go to the immigration office at Muang Thong Thani to get your extensions

IF you entered on any type of Non-Immigrant visa or had an extension from a Non-Immigrant visa you go to Chaengwattana.

Also 90 day reporting & TM30 reporting is at the Muang Thong Thani Immigration office (since July 13th) so you go there to do those things.

TLDR : Answer Summary
This discussion outlines the procedures for expats in Thailand seeking visa extensions due to travel restrictions caused by COVID-19. It specifies that individuals entering on a 30-day visa exempt or a 60-day tourist visa must go to the Muang Thong Thani Immigration Office, while those on non-immigrant visas or extensions should visit the Chaengwattana office. Additional advice on online appointments and necessary documentation is also provided, including TM30 reporting procedures.

the only people that go to MTT for covid extensions are people who originally entered on a 30 day visa exempt entry or a 60 day tourist visa entry.

Everyone else goes to Chaengwattana :( sorry you went to the wrong place, at least you got thru at C/W pretty fast

Zone M. Collect queue number at M55, officer checked for completeness (he asked for copy of some additional passport pages), then gave the number. Was called in at M51, here officer asked for some additional documents (TM.7, another declaration and copy of all passport pages). Paid 1,900Bht and waited for around 45mnt. Spent quite sometime running for photo copies, this could be shortened had the 1st officer told me to copy the whole page.

I didn’t register online queue #.

@Irfan *******
Did you make it? Successfully move from non-b to covid?

just finished at CW. Here’s some additional steps and documents for non-B.

- Fill in TM.7

- Fill in another declaration form

- Copy all pages of passport, sign each page

- Got 1st stamp (until 30 Dec)

- Need to return on 30 Dec to get 2nd stamp for 60days permit

Total 2.5 hours

What if you don't have a letter from the embassy for unable to fly due to Covid?? How to proceed?

For TM30 reporting, should I go to MTT directly or I should book online in advance? Thank you for your response!

then I guess that answer is no.. I'd say go out and apply for the 60 day unable to travel extension.

What entry stamp did you come in on when you entered back before the lock down?

@Tod ********
do you mean that in case no embassy, then ican't appy for 60 days extension due to unable to travel?

Listen up people, you need to pay attention to the section you need to go to out at MTT.

One final time,

IF you entered on a 30 day visa exempt entry <- meaning you DIDN'T buy a visa from a thai consulate before you washed up here but were stamped in for free for 30 days you use SECTION K

IF you entered on a 60 day tourist visa entry <- meaning you DID buy a visa from a thai consulate before you came here and were stamped in for 60 days you use SECTION J

And if you’re doing covid related extension for a non-b, go to CW and book online for counter M49 or M50. I don’t think they have a very good system for managing the online appointments, so if nobody is working where you’re scheduled to meet, ask someone in that section where to go.

@Ben ********
that is NOT always correct, IF you got a non-B for teaching you do NOT use section M you use section N..

@Tod ********
