TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, if you are currently on a 60-day COVID extension, you can apply for another extension as long as you do so on or before March 30, which is the expiration date of the current order allowing these COVID extensions.

IF you're on a 60 day covid extension you can go apply for another one as long as you do it ON or BEFORE the 30th of March <- that's the day that the current order allowing covid extensions runs out

I stay in Pattaya. I was not allowed to apply for 60 day covid visa extension 10 days before the end of my current visa. I was told to come again 3 days before expiration.
, the Jomtien immigration office is one of those places where they just pull rules out of their backside. I have seen repeated posts about people going in for extensions (30 day tourist/visa exempt and 60 day covid ones especially) and being told to come back a couple days before their current stamp runs out.
when you have 30 days or less left on your current stamp (dunno where you got that 7 days from). Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai & Buriram all allow you to apply for a new extension when you have 45 days or less.
Alright ty, can't remember the norm pre-covid. I will get 30-day extention on TR in a week or so then go back for the 2-month covid extention 7-10 days later before end of month
