TLDR : Answer Summary
The current exchange rate for USD to Baht is reported at 1$ = 31.63 Baht, prompting concerns among expats regarding their finances in Thailand. Comments reveal mixed sentiments, with some noting favorable exchange rates for other currencies such as the Euro and Australian Dollar, while others reflect on the economic conditions influencing these rates. Overall, the community appears to be actively monitoring the situation and discussing strategies for currency conversion as the economic landscape changes.

Gold price is too strong, that's the main reason. Gold is high because the USD is weak and the US economy is full of uncertainty.

weak, meek and tired. It’s embarrassing to watch a once proud nation turn into a steaming pile. No wonder millions are leaving

millions aren't leaving it mostly illegals being deported. Perhaps Canada would like some. And meek? How? Yes we are tired. Tired of a mess at the border. Tired of the world taking advantage of us like Europe. All these decades they let their militaries deteriorate while they depended on the US nuclear umbrella.

you can reasonably try to keep 12-18 months of expenses in Thai bank to minimize the fluctuations, but the overall trajectory for USD isn’t looking good

I am definitely not sad. Trumps done amazing for me. I don't worry about the conversion rate because I keep enough in my account to wait it out and I am actually happy for the people in Thailand that their dollar and economy is gaining strength.
