ATTENTION MEMBERS:

The Thai consulate in Vientiane is going to an online appointment system starting Feb 1st. (it goes live on Jan 30th)

It is NOT like the one currently running at the thai consulate in Singapore (which has been running for over a year) where you submit documentation and get "pre-approval".

It is ONLY an appointment booking system in Vientiane

BUT

it appears they will NOT accept walk up service once this system comes online;

here are the information pages:

Here's the website:

Thanx to Ron Angel for the images (y)

Answer summary

The Thai consulate in Vientiane will implement an online appointment system starting February 1st, with the system going live on January 30th. This new system will not allow walk-up services and differs from the pre-approval system used at the Thai consulate in Singapore.
