ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS:

Land Border Openings;

The land borders with Malaysia are open for exit/re-entry to thailand

The land borders with Cambodia are open for exit/re-entry to thailand

The land borders with Lao are open for exit/re-entry to thailand

The land borders with Burma are CLOSED to exit/entry at this time.

Keep in mind the old land entry restrictions are still in place, people are allowed TWO 30 day visa exempt entries by land in a calendar year.

This is NOT a how do I get into (insert your country of choice here) group. <- Meaning GOOGLE is your friend for those questions, the group is NOT. :O

AND

This is not a what are the current entry requirements to get back in to thailand or where do I buy the required covid insurance group either. :/

There are more than a few f/b groups that specialize with that topic. FIND them :)

Good luck to anyone thinking of "border bouncing" in the near future. It looks like more and more options are becoming available.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The land borders of Thailand are currently open for exit and re-entry from Malaysia, Cambodia, and Laos, while the border with Burma remains closed. Visitors should note that there are still restrictions in place for visa-exempt entries by land, allowing only two 30-day visa-exempt entries per year. The post emphasizes the importance of seeking reliable information regarding entry requirements and the unpredictability of border policies, especially for those with extended stays in Thailand.

This is also NOT a "I've been here 2+ years on amnesty, covid extensions, if I go to the border and enter visa exempt OR go to a thai consulate and get a tourist visa will I get back in group" ๐Ÿ˜ฎ .

NO ONE knows what will happen when you go to stamp back in after you've been here for an extended stay. Some people skate right thru, some people get pulled aside and questioned, some people get denied entry.

There is no one on this or any other group that will tell you with any degree of accuracy what category you will be in when you come to stamp back in.
