What about repeat back to back non o visa based on Thai child?
I got a 3 month non o at Vientiane, now I have 400k in my bank is it ok (and easier?) to go out to Savannakhet and get a 12 month non o?
TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around obtaining a one-year Non-O visa for raising a Thai child after initially securing a 3-month Non-O visa. It indicates that repeat applications for a year-long Non-O based on parental rights—while raising half-Thai children—are generally not accepted at Thai consulates in Laos. Instead, a single-entry 90-day Non-O visa is the norm. To qualify for a long-term extension based on child-rearing in Thailand, one must either have married the Thai mother at the time of the child's birth or be legally recognized as the father through family court procedures. The only consulate that issues one-year, multi-entry Non-O visas under these circumstances is in Penang, Malaysia, with specific requirements such as having a bank account with 400K baht and relevant documentation.
