That's the changes that are currently in effect, anything else is just thai politicians & gov't people running their mouths for free press :O , no other changes are approved (as of yet)

Sorry edited this because it now seems that Chinese, Kazaks, Indians and Taiwanese cannot get a 30 day extension on their entry stamp. Super sorry for the bad info

TLDR : Answer Summary
Recent updates to Thailand's visa entry allowances include changes for residents from Hong Kong, Macau, Mongolia, Vietnam, Laos, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, India, and Taiwan. Hong Kong and Macau nationals can obtain a 30-day visa waiver with a one-time extension, while Russians receive a 90-day entry with no extension allowed or possibility of conversion to any visa. Chinese and Kazakhstan nationals can also stay for 30 days with a possible extension, although offices may not always approve it. The situation for Indian and Taiwanese citizens mirrors that of the Chinese and Kazakhs, with similar restrictions on extensions. The information provided is subject to changes, and discrepancies have been noted in recent confirmations from official sources.

So, it means as a Russian, I cannot set up a company and get a B visa, having this 90 day stamp?๐Ÿค”

@Lena *******
correct, you can't change that stamp IN country to anything else ๐Ÿ™‚

You go to a thai consulate nearby and get a single entry tourist visa that stamps you in for 60 days and THAT stamp can be changed to another visa type inside the country

FYIโ€ฆ My friend called 1178 last Thursday (Nov. 16) and Chinese passport canโ€™t get a 30 days extension after 30 days free visa. Need to fly out Thailand.

i just checked and both Chinese and Kazakhstan passports (that used to get 15 day visa on arrival but now get 30 day entry) CAN get a 30 day extension

GO to your immigration office and try it, THEN report back if they say no..

I wouldn't trust that info you go

So Russians will get 90 days with no extension. But will they be able to do a border run and get another 90 days?

@Bjarne ***************
- Russians already in Thailand have done border bounce since Nov 1st but I have been unable to ascertain whether or not they got 90 days or 30. It's an interesting question and I hope Tod keeps his finger on the pulse to let us know the answer.
