Changes to Thai Consulates in Cambodia and Malaysia

The thai consulate in Phnom Penh and the THREE thai consulates in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Penang & Kota Bharu) will go to eVisa online system effect in Oct.

There is no announcement date yet, but they did put out these notices

Be advised.. If you're going to those consulates to apply for visas do it BEFORE they switch over to the eVisa online application system because that's when they'll stop walk up applications.

Answer summary

The Thai consulates in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Kota Bharu in Malaysia will transition to an eVisa online application system in October. Users are advised to apply for visas in person before the switch, as walk-up applications will no longer be accepted post-transition. There are also reports indicating that the Thai consulates in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, Vietnam, may also adopt this eVisa system in October.

Does that mean people from other countries (ex. USA, England) cannot apply at these embassies any longer?

I don't think that will be an issue, but better check and confirm to be sure.
